Built from personal experience.
Not a boardroom.
Secure Estate Vault exists because of a family loss, a lot of chaos, and the realization that nobody had built the tool that was desperately needed.
It started with a phone call.
In 2025, a close family member passed away. Like most people, they had a will. They had insurance. They had savings. What they didn't have was any organized record of where any of it was, how to access any of it, or who to call first.
What followed were weeks of phone calls to banks that wouldn't speak to us without a death certificate. Hours on hold with subscription services that kept charging the account. An attorney charging by the hour to help track down accounts we didn't even know existed. A family already devastated by grief, now drowning in administrative chaos that nobody was prepared for.
The will told us who should get what. It told us absolutely nothing about how to find it, access it, or manage it.
The chaos nobody talks about.
Here's what most estate planning resources don't tell you: a will is only half the picture. The legal half. The other half, the practical, day-to-day reality of what your family actually has to do, is almost entirely unaddressed.
Which email accounts existed? What subscriptions were running? Where was the investment account held? What was the login for the bank's online portal? Who was the insurance agent's name? Where was the actual insurance policy document stored?
These aren't exotic questions. They're the first things any family needs to answer, and for most families, there is no answer written down anywhere.
And when there's no answer, families pay attorneys to find them. Courts take longer. Probate drags on. Assets go unclaimed. Subscriptions keep charging. And family members, already grieving, spend months doing administrative work that could have been avoided entirely.
Why existing tools didn't work.
Paper binders and printable PDFs
Plenty of these on Etsy. Pretty, fillable, and completely insecure. A physical document with all your passwords and account details is a theft risk, and gets outdated the moment you change a password.
Cloud-based password managers with legacy features
Services like LastPass and 1Password offer emergency access features. But they require your family member to already have an account, trust a third-party company with your data indefinitely, and pay a monthly subscription that could lapse.
Estate planning attorneys
Essential for the legal documents. Not designed to help you organize your Netflix login or cancel your gym membership. And at $300 to $500 per hour, not the right tool for practical digital organization.
Secure Estate Vault, what we built instead
Military-grade AES-256 encryption. Entirely offline, no cloud, no monthly subscription, no third-party access. Works in any browser forever. Designed from the ground up for the specific moment a family needs it most.
What we believe.
Your data should never leave your hands
We built Secure Estate Vault so that no server, no company, including us, ever sees your information. The encryption happens in your browser. Period.
This should be compassionate, not clinical
Estate planning products are typically designed for attorneys and financial professionals. We designed Secure Estate Vault for the grieving family member who opens a USB drive at the worst moment of their life.
Transparency about what we are, and aren't
We are not a legal service. Secure Estate Vault does not replace a will, trust, or attorney. We say this clearly on every page, in every file, and in our terms. Honesty about our purpose is non-negotiable.
It should work forever
We built plain HTML files that work offline in any browser. If Secure Estate Vault as a company ceases to exist tomorrow, every vault continues to work exactly as intended, indefinitely.
⚠️ Important, Please Read
Secure Estate Vault is a secure personal information organizer. It is not a will, trust, power of attorney, or any legally binding document. It does not replace professional legal or financial advice. We strongly recommend working with a licensed estate attorney to prepare your legal documents. Secure Estate Vault is designed to complement your estate plan, not substitute for one.
Who this is for.
Secure Estate Vault is for anyone who wants their family to be able to find and access what they leave behind, without months of confusion, legal fees, and stress that could have been avoided.
It's for parents who want their children to know where everything is. For people who have just gone through what we went through and want to make sure they don't leave that same situation for their own family. For anyone who has ever thought "if something happened to me tomorrow, would my family know what to do?"
The answer for most people is no. Secure Estate Vault is the yes.
Give your family the clarity they'll need.
One afternoon. One download. Everything organized, encrypted, and ready when they need it most.
